Why recycle your mobile phone?
Two reasons – to save harming the environment and to provide
money for local environmental projects. Manx Telecom has run a
scheme to recycle old mobile phones since 2004. Through this
scheme, mobiles which are in good enough condition are refurbished
and re-used in developing countries. Those which are not are
disposed of safely, with no harmful elements put into landfill
where they might leak into the environment.
How to recycle your mobile phone
You can take your old mobile phone and charger to either of our
shops in Douglas or the Manx Telecom Headquarters building at the
IOM Business Park.
