Premium rate services have the dialling codes 09 and are charged
at a higher rate than normal calls. They include recorded
information - for example, weather reports, competitions, voting,
live conversations and things that you can download such as
ringtones.
UK Premium Rate Numbers
The most commonly called premium rate numbers are allocated to
UK based content providers. Companies that use premium rate numbers
are required to state in their advertisements the cost of making
calls to the number, if it is a per call charge and, if it is
priced per minute, the expected duration of the call. Advertisers
will usually quote prices for calls made from a BT line and state
that calls from other networks or mobiles vary.
If you would like advice on the cost of calling premium rate
numbers please call Manx Telecom on 624 624.

PhonepayPlus code of practice also applies to these services. We
have no control over international numbers but we can permanently
block premium rate numbers and international calls on your line.
