Social Networking

Youngsters who use social networking sites like Facebook need to be aware the people they encounter on-line could be complete fakes. The Fakebook leaflet has been produced by Manx Telecom in response to the growing dangers of how vulnerable youngsters might inadvertently be putting themselves in danger, using internet chatrooms. Fakebook highlights the experiences of teen idol Miley Cyrus and the cyberbullying she encountered from internet critics who called her fat.

Mobile Bullying

Receiving abusive calls or text messages can be upsetting, particularly for children. Manx Telecom has produced a leaflet which provides advice on how to deal with these calls or text messages.
