Chief Executive Officer
Mike Dee is Manx Telecom's CEO, taking up the post in April
2011.
In 1987, Mike was part of the BT team involved in setting up
Manx Telecom, and as Director of Finance and Company Secretary,
Mike has been actively involved in all license negotiations to
date. During that period he has had responsibility for legal and
regulatory affairs including liaison with the local regulator. He
was also instrumental in the development of the company's IT
functions. Mike has had a broad range of responsibilities including
Procurement, customer accounts, Insurance and has been a Pension
Fund trustee
Before joining British Telecom in 1983, Mike previously held
accounting and company secretary positions with the Dowty Group,
Iloman Engineering and Castle Industries.
Mike has a BA (Hons) degree in Business Studies and a CIMA
qualification.
Mike is married to Carol with two girls Reagan and Claudia. One
of his hobbies is rugby, he is a past President of Isle of Man
Vagabonds RFC and currently Manager of the Commonwealth Youth Games
rugby sevens squad. He is also a past Chairman of Manx Harriers
athletics club and previously Vice Chairman of the Isle of Man
Gymnastics Association. Mike also enjoys cooking and good wine.
