All Manx Telecom exchanges are Broadband enabled. Broadband is a technology with limited reach and is dependent on the strength of signal capable of being received from the local exchange. The signal strength leaving the exchange depreciates as it travels down the telephone line. 

Manx Telecom Broadband provides download speeds of up to 16 Megabits per second (Mb/s), upload speeds of 832 Kilobits per second (Kb/s) and rate adapts to the telephone line length.  This means that it will automatically deliver the fastest speed possible ranging from 256Kb/s to 16Mb/s according to line length and other factors.
