Website Settings

General

The General screen shows information regarding the location and status of your website on the E-Biz server. The Stop Website button will stop your website from being visible on the Internet.

Options

• Allow Directory Browsing - If ticked, this option allows visitors to see the directory structure of your website. By default this should be turned off.
• Enable Shared SSL - Shared SSL is not applicable as E-Biz only offers SSL as dedicated certificates for each customer
• Website Permissions - Grant "Write" access for Anonymous User - is enabled by default. Some website content required web server access to run files correctly. If you are not sure whether your website requires this or not you should leave this option enabled.

Web Forwarding

If enabled, Web Forwarding allows you to divert visitors to your website to another website address.

Default Documents

The Default Document is used by the web server to how a web page where a visitor does not enter a full fine name e.g. www.manx.net. The default document specifies what file to serve such as /index.htm. The site will be created with a 'default.htm' as the holding page and this may need to be removed/renamed if you still see this when you have uploaded your site content.
