My Domains
Domain Aliases
The Domain Alises screen shows the Domain Aliases you have set
up. A Domain Alias allows you to point addtional Domain Names you
have registered to your existing site.
For example, if you website it www.mydomain.com you can use a
Domain Alias to point www.mydomain.co.uk to www.mydomain.com
Note: You must register the additional Domain Name and point the
Name Servers to:
- Primary: ns0.ebiz.hosting.mt.im
- Secondary: ns1.ebiz.hosting.mt.im
Manx Telecom can register and manage your Domain Names as part
of your E-Biz service. During 2011 we expect to launch Domain
Management where you can register your own domain names through
your E-Biz Control Panel.
- To create a Domain Alias click Add
- Enter your additional Domain Name to the Domain Alias
Name field and click Save
- You can now see your Domain Alias configured
- Note: Aliases are created as an additional Zone, however many
Domain Aliases are added the DNS Zone editor edits the 'main'
domain. If the 'main' domain has a record added or removed this is
reflected in every alias. For example, if you change the www record
of your 'main' domain, this will change for all your Aliases
too.
