We know our continued success depends on the well-being of the wider community and we’re passionate about giving back to the Island and its residents. We have an active and extensive programme which supports events, people, and community groups in a whole variety of ways – from simple donations of funds to sponsorships, hands-on help, and specialist equipment.

Our employees are actively encouraged to participate in this work and staff are given time to help local charities and organisations, including local secondary schools, as advisors/mentors, at the Isle of Man College, local primary schools, local commissioners, and Isle of Man Hospice.

Our Compliment Scheme also allows local charities to benefit from a donation when customers contact us to pay tribute to a member of staff who has given them especially good service.

It's Our Community

Each year we invite charities and good causes to apply for funding if they have an idea that can make a positive difference to our community. The grants available can be used for all kinds of projects and range from £100 to £1,000.

Applications for the 2023 It's Our Community scheme will open shortly.  Please follow our social media channels for further information.

Giving Back

Manx Telecom Giving Back exists to inspire staff to make a positive change to the communities in which we live. Awards are given for the benefit of the community or to build community spirit and are recommended by members of the Manx Telecom team.

Giving Back acts as a catalyst for a host of community initiatives. Staff can apply for anything between £100 and £500 to help fund an idea about how to improve the community.

Brew Monday for Samaritans

What was sometimes referred to as the most difficult day of the year has been turned on its head by Samaritans. They are encouraging everyone to make a difference and start a conversation over a brew.

We got involved to raise awareness, start conversations and raise funds for Samaritans with a charity cycle in our HQ. A team of Manx Telecom cyclists ‘put the miles in’ on a static bike kindly loaned by Cycle360.

The team rode over 123 miles in 6 hours and raised over £410.
