Manx Telecom IS better than Sure for overall mobile says rigorous independent survey

Manx Telecom’s mobile network has been declared the Island’s best overall in a rigorous independent survey carried out by Equiendo, one of the telecoms industry’s leading research specialists which is trusted by international operators including Vodafone, 3, Eir, Telefónica and Digicel.

Towards the end of last year, Manx Telecom commissioned Equiendo to conduct research which compared the performance of Manx Telecom’s mobile network against Sure’s network. More than 1,000 mobile to mobile voice calls and over 3,000 smartphone data tests were analysed, making it the most comprehensive study of its type ever conducted on the Isle of Man. Equiendo concluded that Manx Telecom’s mobile network ‘performs best for both voice and data performance and is the overall winner for network benchmarking’. The survey showed that Manx Telecom’s mobile network is the Island’s overall best network for voice quality and mobile broadband performance, both in towns and rural areas. The results also highlighted that Manx Telecom’s mobile network benchmarked favourably against those of major global operators worldwide.

Similar research carried out by Equiendo in 2016 also found that Manx Telecom’s mobile network was best overall for both voice and data. Further information can be found at
