Connection of Service Charge
Applies where there is no suitable line available to your property. This charge covers engineering work in the exchange, distribution network and / or your property in order to connect a new line or additional line(s). Excess construction charges may apply when providing connectivity to individual properties or building plots that are beyond our existing distribution network.
Transfer, Reconnection or Renumber of Service
Applies if the premises has had telephone service in the recent past, and the line, property wiring and main telephone socket are undamaged. Similarly, this charge will apply if you move house or request a new telephone number.
We aim to provide telephone service within 13 working days of your original request. However, we may be able to offer a Fast Track connection service for an additional fee. Please contact 624624 for any specific pricing queries.
Applies to minor amendments, e.g. transfer of service to a next of kin.
We will advise you of the connection charge cost at the time you place your order, however if a higher charge applies following checks against the details of your property we will advise you before starting work.
You will need to complete an application form and direct debit details if you are not a current Manx Telecom customer, or have not had an account with us in the past 12 months. These forms are available to download from the Account Application and Service Order Forms link below, from our shop in Strand Street Douglas, or from our Sales Team by calling us on 624624.
If you are moving home, please contact us at least 10 working days before you move, so we can make all the necessary arrangements to stop services in your current property. We can send the final bill to your new address.
