Isle of Man Fibre Broadband from Manx Telecom

Unlimited fibre from just £45.00 per month

We are currently investing in a fibre infrastructure around the Isle of Man. Fibre optic cables offer greater speeds, reliability and quality over traditional copper cables. Where available, we would recommend fibre plans over copper for the increased performance they offer.

Fibre Availability & Speed

Fibre is currently rolling out around the Isle of Man and is available to over 25% of households. To confirm if fibre broadband is available to your property, use the lookup tool above, or call our customer experience team on 624624 and they’ll be able to tell you over the phone if you can be connected.

Fibre vs Copper Broadband Services

Plans are delivered over our fibre and copper broadband networks. Traditionally broadband services have been delivered to the home via copper cables and infrastructure used by the telephone network. Fibre is the latest development in delivering high speed broadband internet to homes and businesses and Manx Telecom is making a significant investment into Isle of Man infrastructure to roll out fibre around the Island.

Fibre offers greater capacity and resilience than copper and as such can provide greater internet speeds, higher quality and increased reliability.

Copper cables offer a great solution for most light to moderate use broadband requirements. For heavy internet users like gamers, home office or multiple user environments, Fibre provides additional options beyond the capabilities of copper.

Moving home with Fibre

If you move home to a Fibre enabled area and are taking your Fibre service with you to your new home please be aware that connection charges will apply and engineering work may be required to connect to the Fibre network. Our Sales team will advise you of the relevant charges. To see how Fibre is installed please see the Fibre Broadband Installation Process information below.
